About Us


About St. Mary of the Lake Church

St. Mary of the Lake Church is a Catholic church located in Hamburg, NY. Do you wish to join us here at St. Mary of the Lake Church? New members are always welcome. All you have to do is get in contact with the parish. 


Letters of Recommendation 


Parishioners who have been asked to be a sponsor for baptism or confirmation are to please call the parish.

Sacrament of Baptism


Infant and Child Baptism : Parents are required to attend pre-baptismal classes prior to baptizing their child. For information on classes and scheduling a baptism, please call the parish office.


Christian Initiation : Adults and children over age seven begin a formation period called the "Catechumenate." All initiation sacraments (baptism, confirmation, reconciliation and Eucharist) will be celebrated as the final step of this rite.


Sacrament of Reconciliation/Confession

 

Thursdays: 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM (or by appointment)


Sacrament of Marriage 

 

Arrangements should be made in person as early as possible and no less than six months prior to a wedding date. 

The attendance at Pre-Cana is a universal requirement of the Church.


Anointing of the Sick and Care of the Sick 


Family and friends of hospitalized or confined at home parishioners of St. Mary of the Lake can call the parish, per their request. Anointing of the sick and the reception of Eucharist at home may be arranged.

Mass Times

Saturday Vigil: 4:30 p.m.


Sunday: 9:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m.  


Holy Days: Schedule appears in the previous Sunday's bulletin. 


Daily Mass: Monday: 5:30 p.m.

Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday: 8:15 a.m.


Communion Service: Friday 8:15 a.m.


The sacrament of Anointing of the Sick will take place after the 5:30 p.m. Mass on the first Monday of every month. Confessions are heard each Saturday from 3:15 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
